TypoLyrics is the first public art exhibition from Samar Semaan. Her art draws its inspiration from powerful song lyrics and depicts their meaning through provocative typography. Samar’s work shows that the way type is presented – its shape, size, color, positioning, texture – can evoke feelings and emotions in ways the spoken or sung words may not.

The TypoLyrics Exhibition features works inspired by English singer-songwriter James Morrison. His raw and real lyrics come through Samar’s work in stunning ways, conveying heartbreak, all-consuming love, passion, deep sadness and profound joy.
