The culinary team at Al Dana is all set to present a delectable set menu featuring a turkey accompanied by cranberry compote, brussel sprouts, sweet potato puree and glazed chestnuts this Thanksgiving celebration tomorrow. For those who plan to spend the special day with family and friends, the Thanksgiving dinner menu offers diners a choice of three or four courses, laden with dishes that combine traditional seasonal ingredients with a contemporary touch.



The meal begins with a crab and apple tian with celeriac rémoulade and Granny Smith apple gelée, followed by a delicious roasted butternut squash soup with pumpkin oil. The highlight of the dinner will be the slow-roulade of turkey and a sweet finale of a pear and berry crumble topped with vanilla ice cream.



When asked on the inspiration behind the creation on the menu, Executive Chef Holger Jackisch says he used staples from a fall harvest such as pumpkin, sweet potato and pears as well as the classic turkey as Thanksgiving, as celebrated in North America originated as a day for farmers to give thanks for a bountiful harvest. Al Dana is Sharq Village and Spa’s signature restaurant. It offers a front-row seat to paradise on one of Doha’s most stunning beaches. This casually chic enclave is the only beachfront restaurant in Doha. Dining in the 118-seat offers guests a relaxing beachside sanctuary at the breathtaking setting of Doha Bay.
