Tiny Gardener’s Edition!

We invite your kids to learn all about nature and plants at the Education City Microfarm. A special program tailored for our littlest ones, Preschool Gardener’s Academy is a series of 12 weekly sessions that aims to nurture a love for gardening through interactive activities whilst fostering valuable life skills and meeting new friends!

Workshop Experiences:

1. Planting Magic: Little gardeners will use child-friendly tools to plant seeds and flowers, learning how plants grow from tiny seeds to beautiful blooms.
2. Sensory Garden Exploration: Explore different textures of soil, leaves, and flowers, engaging the senses of touch, smell, sight, and sound.
3. Story Time in the Garden: Gather for garden-themed storytelling, sparking imagination and connection with nature’s characters like bugs, birds, and flowers.
4. Miniature Fairy Gardens: Create whimsical miniature gardens filled with tiny plants, fairy houses, and magical creatures, perfect for young imaginations.
5. Craft Time with Nature’s Gifts: Let creativity blossom using leaves, flowers, and other natural materials to create beautiful garden art.
6. Wiggly Worm Exploration: Learn about the role of worms in the garden through gentle, hands-on exploration, observing how they move and help the soil.
7. Song and Dance in the Garden: Enjoy garden-themed songs and dances that celebrate the joy of nature and help little ones express themselves.
8. Water Play: Watering plants becomes a delightful sensory experience, understanding the importance of water to life.

Safety and enjoyment are our top priorities, with activities supervised by experienced educators trained to nurture curiosity and creativity in preschool-aged children.

Included:

• All tools and materials.
• Kids will accumulate cuttings, plants, and seeds to take home after each session.
• Kids who successfully complete the program will be granted a certificate of completion – this does not apply for single session workshops.

Workshop Details:

• Level 1: Beginner program, emphasis on building a solid understanding for the kids who are new to the subject.
• Age group: Addressed to ages 2-5 years old
• Date: Every Saturday, 4-5 p.m. from 13 Jan – 30 March 2024
• Location: Education City Micro Farm

Enrollment Package:

• 12-week workshop package: 75 QR per class
• 4-week workshop package: 75 QR per class
• Single session workshop: 90 QR per class
