The Poetry Majlis is committed to developing and promoting poetry and literature in Qatar by exploring new ways to develop the pursuit of literary excellence and to highlight existing talent.

The Poetry Majlis organizes many events and activities throughout the year in addition to organizing poetry gatherings and cultural seminars. The Majlis also participates in many social and national occasions by organizing events, such as Aad Alqassid event which is held during the National Day celebrations.
