JOIN BRAZILIAN GRAFFITI ARTIST ALEXANDRE ORION IN CREATING A UNIQUE MURAL IN THE MAGNIFICENT SETTING OF MIA PARK IN DOHA. THE WORKSHOP IS FREE AND OPEN TO ALL.

This graffiti workshop marks the launch of Create & Inspire, one of the region's most popular art competitions. The initiative is run by the Crossway Foundation in partnership with Art Jameel and Qatar Museums Authority. The theme of this year's competition, "The World is not Black and White" is inspired by the Qatar Brazil 2014 Year of Culture, a unique cultural exchange programme between the two countries. Twelve winners will have the opportunity to travel to Brazil, and experience one of the most colourful cultures in the world on the creative adventure of a lifetime.

Come and meet the Crossway Foundation team on the day to find out more.

About the Artist:
Alexandre Orion is a multimedia artist from São Paulo, Brazil. Orion started his practice in 1992, inspired by the influence of urban culture and the world of graffiti. He soon began to interact with the city in his own unique way. In his words: “A city is not a gallery; cities are themselves full of hidden meanings.” It is precisely the obscured issues of a city that inspire his work and he involves passers by to bring these issues to life.
