Join a brand new program that can help you get healthier!
• For people with diabetes and/or looking to lose weight
• The program is a series of fun group events that you attend with your friends and family!


Purpose of the research study:

• Qatar University is conducting a study to test the effectiveness of the program. The study will help researchers evaluate the effects of this community health program on improving clinical outcomes for weight and diabetes management among people with pre-diabetes (very high blood sugar) or type 2 diabetes

You may qualify if:

• You are 18 years of age or older
• You are overweight, and have diabetes or very high blood sugar

You may not qualify if:

• You are under 18 years of age
• You are pregnant

Length and Location:

• The program is 7 weeks long
• Depending on the program you receive, you may be asked to have 7 visits that last for 1 hour

Cost:

• There is no charge for study-related tests or for participating in the program.
