Part of the proceeds will go towards the publication of “The Wild Book”, by ecologist Dr. Aspa D. Chatziefthimiou, with photographs by wildlife photographer Raviv Cohen and design by artist Jenine Davidson.
“The Wild Book” is a 360º pictorial journey across the natural ecosystems and wildlife in the Qatari desert and surrounding waters; the first of its kind. It contains bird’s-eye view information on the geology and ecology of the desert, and ethnographic stories of Bedouins and their nomadic life. “The Wild Book” will intrigue neophytes to explore the desert, and it will serve as a guide-book to scientists, new to this field, requiring up-to-date robust scientific research findings.
