Cupcakes are a phenomenon which began in the United States. Red Velvet’s first outlet opened in Washington DC in December 2008 and, in the five years hence, a local phenomenon has become a global one; first to several other locations the US, and now, courtesy of AKH, the shores of Qatar at Katara Cultural Village.
