Now in its fifth year, the Qatar International Food Festival will be hosted by Qatar Tourism Authority and Qatar Airways in the Museum of Islamic Art Park over a long weekend of gastronomic alfresco eating, drinking and cooking, as well as family fun and entertainment. From the 20th to the 23rd of March 2014, internationally renowned chefs will join many of Doha’s top restaurants to celebrate fine dining with the freshest ingredients and latest food trends and tastes, as well as healthy eating options in the capital.

The main themes running through the festival this year are healthy food, traditional Qatari dishes and the celebration of year of culture 2014 with original blends of Qatar and Brazilian cuisine.

Overall the Festival will reflect the 5-star fine dining that is available in Qatar, which is fast gaining a reputation for some of the best gourmet food and gastronomic delights in the region. 50 stalls of top restaurants in Qatar will be at the show and QTA Awards will be given for the Best Stall, the Best Meal and the Best Food at the event.

Qatar’s Food Festival continually strives to exceed expectations on every level, delivering more visitors, more restaurants, exhibitors and more activities and entertainment each year.

There will be dedicated outside parking spaces and shuttles between the parking and the Museum of Islamic Art Park for your convenience.
Please only use one of the dedicated QIFF parking spaces.

Food items are priced between QR5 and QR25.

Dinner in the Sky costs QR500, BBQ Donut QR250 and Dinner in Dhow between QR50 and QR75.

Zones

Entrance to the Festival and the Park is free of charge. Food and beverage vouchers will be sold on site during the event at several booths.
Stage & Entertainment with musical and live artist entertainment as well as official speeches and announcements.


Dinner in the Sky. A dining experience of a lifetime, as dinners are lifted 40 m up into the air. For the first time in Qatar, 8 times a day, 22 persons have the chance to enjoy that extraordinary journey up to the sky.


Family Zone with playgrounds, kid’s entertainment areas, ball & grass games and picnic areas. Exciting tools including two spring trampolines, football grass pitch and kiosks for kid’s snacks such as candy floss, popcorn and sweet corn. Face painting, sack race, rope skipping, hula hoop, egg & spoon race, crawl tunnels are all on offer for kids to enjoy.


MIA Bay Water Zone with BBQ Donuts brought to you by the Diplomatic Club. Special floating tea time in the early afternoons or BBQ in the late afternoons until night time for 8 passengers on each Donut several times a day. Tickets will be sold at the event on the jetty entrance to the bay.


Food Zones
The 2014 Qatar International Food Festival offers a massive choice of food zones that are themed with delectable cuisines from all over the world.


International Zone with 16 stalls of country-themed food courts offering European, Arabic, American and Asian cuisines.


The European food court will serve delicious French, Italian, Spanish & Greek cuisine favourites, decorated in Mediterranean style, with guitar music playing in the background by our guitarist Tarek and typical mezze bowls of olives and dips.


The Arabic sector will offer Lebanese, Moroccan, Tunisian and Egyptian dishes in a food court decorated with Arabic lanterns and majlis seating areas with local traditional couches and tables.


The American area will offer food from Mexico, Brazil and America. Picnic style American table cloths and multi coloured Mexican and Brazilian woven rugs will decorate the given sectors.


The Asian area will offer local specialties from Thailand, China, Japan, Korea, Pakistan and India. Specialities will be served combined with live music to entertain guests and bring the Asian offerings to life.


Qatar / Brazil Zone will incorporate elements of this year’s Qatar Brazil Year of Culture 2014 and feature special food outlets for Brazilian food as well as traditional Qatari tents for Qatari food and hospitality. Traditional Qatari food and hospitality will also be on offer with Arabic coffee and dates in a traditional tent along with other rich specialities and local foods.


Healthy Food Zone has a variety of food stalls and beverages dedicated to healthy food only. The area underlines one of the key messages of the Food Festival – eat healthy food, adopt a healthy lifestyle and stay fit.


Snack Zone
The Snack Zone will offer international snacks & specialties from 18 different food stalls, with various dishes from all over the world.


Kiosk Zone
The Kiosk Zone along the MIA Corniche will offer handy snacks in two different locations along the waterfront. The Family Kiosk Zone will be a dedicated kiosk zone for kid’s snacks in the family zone.
