Be a part of a unique workshop about producing purple dye with Faisal Abdulla Al Naimi, Director of the Department of Archaeology at Qatar Museums.
Participants will learn about the types of shells used by ancient humans in Qatar, how to extract the purple dye, and how to apply it directly to fabric, transforming it into the maroon color for which Qatar has been known throughout its history and which is now a color of its flag.
