"On the Move" Exhibition at NMoQ

Through a stunning array of objects, historical images, and archival footage, On the Move, highlights the complex and beautiful cultural forms – as well as the meaningful social relationships – created and maintained by pastoralists, who move with the herds that they tend.

In addition to objects from the permanent collections of the National Museum of Qatar and other Qatar Museums entities, the exhibition brings together works from the National Museum of Mongolia, the Musée du Quai Branly, and the Weltmuseum Vienna, among other institutions.

• Saturday–Thursday: 9 am - 7 pm
  Fridays: 1:30 - 7 pm

Explore the lives of nomadic and semi-nomadic peoples across three distinct regions: Central Sahara, Qatar, and Mongolia!

Special operating hours will be in effect from 1 November–20 December. Please note that the information is subject to change and may be updated at any time.

Sunday through Saturday: 10 am – 8 pm

Note: Last entry to museums and galleries is 30 minutes prior to closure.

• Visitors are advised to use public buses or the metro. Information about getting around Doha during the FIFA World Cup can be found on Qatar2022.qa.
• Tickets to the National Museum of Qatar are available in one-hour time slots. Please arrive on time to ensure entry.
