The first in a series of events throughout 2015 to celebrate and understand the importance of light and light-based technologies.

British Council Qatar and Qatar University present:

Dr Daniel Glaser (Science Gallery London) and

Professor Ilham Al-Qaradawi (Qatar University)

An interactive public discussion covering topics such as:

Why light matters; The role of light in our everyday lives; Cosmic light; Light in medicine and Light for development

Dr Daniel Glaser is a neuroscientist who has worked for many years promoting public engagement with science. He is Director of Science Gallery London at King's College London.

Prof. Ilham Al-Qaradawi is professor of Physics at Qatar University and Adjunct Professor of Physics at Texas A&M University in Qatar.
