Iznik design and the life cycle of plants workshop

Get inspired by the detailed plant patterns found on Iznik tiles and learn about the life cycle of plants with the Museum of Islamic Art. Iznik tiles from the Ottoman Period are not only beautiful, but they are also detailed enough to show the various stages of a plant’s development.
Date and Timings:
- Weekdays, September 2021 to June 2022 from 9 am to 12 pm
Details:
- 1-hour session and will take place online.
- Free to attend, registration is required via e-mail.
This workshop will use those designs as a reference for identifying the different stages of a plant's life cycle. Participants will then draw up a diagram to explain what they learned. They will also get the chance to plant their own seed and record its development in the plant journal provided.
Older students will also learn about respiration and other forms of plants and their life cycles, including different methods of reproduction and chemical storage.
