The 3D printing revolution comes to Doha!

Ever imagined your bones, jewels, shoes, cars, blood vessels, buildings and even your food coming from a printer? It’s happening! This small exhibition introduces you to the universe of 3D printing. Young Dutch designers Mark brand and Ralph Zoontjens designed some pieces for the occasion, as did other graduates and students from VCU Qatar and Texas A&M Qatar.

You will learn about the history of 3D printing, invented in 1983 by Charles Hull. In the Netherlands 3D printing has become an industry taking many sectors like arts, mechanics, medical, aviation, fashion and food to the next level.

Printing your unique designs anywhere, anytime, any shape and colour you want. And lowering transportation costs and waste material. Let’s start 3D mania in Qatar! What would you like to be printed?

Opening event 2 November 6pm, Katara Arts Centre. Exhibition will run in Concept Space until 13 November 2014
