MIA is delighted to welcome Faig Ahmed, a contemporary artist specialising in the Art and designs of traditional Islamic weaving. Faig will explain how traditional carpet motifs have influenced his contemporary work and how he creates his modern masterpieces. This is a rare and fascinating glimpse in to the ongoing appeal of Islamic Art and the production of carpets.
