In this class, catered for converts and those rediscovering their Islamic faith, engage in conversation about the dual realities of Muslim life, understanding the interconnected nature of the physical and spiritual realm, and what it means to live a life true to your Muslim identity and your culture. Delivered by Nabila Winter, a visiting instructor and community organizer with the Cambridge Crescent, find your community amidst women know what it means to consciously, actively choose Islam every day.

Session 1:
Exploring our stories. The purpose of each session with converts is to understand individual and group needs and expectations in convert care.

Session 2: Facilitating gentle self-enquiry and holding space. In place of simple teaching, we will be exploring the group’s own answers.

Session 3: Culture: does this enrich our spiritual lives or is it a barrier? How can we forge our own unique way?

Session 4: Women-specific resources: What resources do we have as women to grow and to ‘be’ Muslim? How shall we navigate processes of settling in to a new religion, in the context of family life and occupation?

At Al-Mujadilah, we are dedicated to ensuring our programs are accessible to all women. If you would like to apply for a fee waiver, please fill out this form.
