Beach Cleanup at As Salwa Beach

Hello everyone! During this cleanup we are starting our Qatar #sustainabilityweek2019 activities. We are going to the beautiful beach os As Salwa. This is a kid and family friendly event.

Please note THERE ARE NO TOILET FACILITIES at the cleanup location, although there’s a Woqood station 5-10 min away. Anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

AGENDA FOR THE DAY:-

1:30 pm Meeting time at the Dairy Queen by the Radisson Blue Hotel in Salwa Road. https://goo.gl/maps/7SctiL9p6Ln

IF YOU ARE CARPOOLING MEET US HERE.

-2:00 pm Departure to the cleanup location: GO TO THIS LOCATION OF YOU’RE NOT CARPOOLING.

-3:15 pm arrival to the cleanup location.

-3:15-4:15 pm cleanup activities.

-4:15-5:15 pm social time, share some food, enjoy a clean beach.

-5:30 pm end of the event and departure to Doha whenever people are ready.

Be cool, be on time and be ready to have some fun.

Please let us know if you are driving your own car, if you can take any volunteers with you, or if you need a ride. We are always in need of volunteers with cars for carpooling.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: -Lots of water as it is very, very hot. - Water/ Food to share. Reusable water bottles, mugs, food containers, and cutlery are encouraged.

Let’s lead by example!-A voluntary cooperation of 10-15 riyals for petrol️, if carpooling.- Your ID / RP - Hat, towel, change of clothes, sunscreen.

PLEASE DRESS PROPERLY. Don’t forget to be culturally sensitive. Girls, shoulders covered. Guys, keep your shirts on. Long shorts or pants are recommended. - Work or garden gloves, a shovel if you have one. - Your beautiful smiles:)
