True to the spirit of Galeries Lafayette, and incorporating the element of art in a retail ambience, Galeries Lafayette Doha is hosting an art exhibition for local visual artist Shouq Al Mana.

The exhibition on the ground floor of Galeries Lafayette Doha will be held from April 15 to June 15, 2019. It will focus on painting in the first month and on drawing in the second.

Al Mana’s exhibition is the first of the many art and cultural events that will be held at Galeries Lafayette Doha, all year round.

This exhibition of the Qatari artist acknowledges and celebrates the powerful men and women of Qatar along with the different roles they take over in their daily lives. Inspired by the feeling of national pride and unity that the blockade on Qatar triggered, the artist depicted the patriotic emotions artistically. The collection also contains hints of the artist’s attachment to poetry and culture.
